In October 2023, Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group Limited (HKATG) officially becomes the Patron Member of the World Geospatial Industry Council (WGIC). Meanwhile, Mr. Sun Fengquan, Co-Chairman & CEO of HKATG, becomes the Patron of WGIC, and Mr. Shyy Wei, Chief Scientist of HKATG, becomes a member of the WGIC Executive Committee.
Ms. Barbara Ryan, Executive Director at WGIC, was invited to attend ASPACE Hong Kong Satellite Manufacturing Center Opening Ceremony on July 25, 2023. During the visit, Ms. Barbara Ryan expressed her hope to strengthen close cooperation between WGIC and HKATG/ASPACE, with a view to taking advantage of the advanced facilities and equipment of HKATG/ASPACE and jointly promoting the development of the world's space and geographic industry.

It brings together large, medium, and small business enterprises from around the world to identify, promote, and respond to issues of critical importance to those of us who operate businesses that use location technologies and data.
