On May 30, 2023, Mr. Amir Lati, Consul General of Israel in Hong Kong and Macau, visited the Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group (HKATG). Mr. Sun FengQuan, Chairman and CEO of the HKATG led the management and technical team to warmly welcome Mr. Amir Lati. The two sides focused on exploring the cooperation and development space in the commercial aerospace field between Israel and Hong Kong. During the visit, Consul General Mr. Amir Lati visited the Hong Kong Satellite TT&C Center, Satellite Data Application Center, and Hong Kong Satellite Manufacturing Center, which is about to be completed, to learn about the latest technologies and innovations of the company in the commercial aerospace field. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on many aspects such as satellite constellation technology, satellite intelligent manufacturing, payload research and development, satellite launch tech, aerospace talent training, as well as digital innovation.
Consul General Mr. Amir Lati fully affirmed the HKATG's technical and research and development capabilities in the aerospace field and hoped that both sides can carry out closer cooperation in the aerospace field, jointly promote technological innovation and talent training, and make greater contributions to the economic development and improvement of the living environment of the two places.
President Sun FengQuan, on behalf of the HKATG, expressed a warm welcome to Consul General Amir Lati. He expressed his support for the cooperation between Israel and Hong Kong as well as other related countries and regions in Asia and looked forward to expanding cooperation space and areas between the two sides, especially deepening cooperation in the field of remote sensing satellite services. As the first local commercial aerospace enterprise in Hong Kong, HKATG has been committed to promoting the development of Hong Kong in the aerospace field. HKATG hopes to grasp the market opportunities together with Israeli aerospace companies, jointly develop new aerospace technologies and satellite products, also welcomes Israeli technology and talents to develop in Hong Kong.
Both sides believe that strengthening cooperation between Israel and Hong Kong in the aerospace field will bring more opportunities and vitality to the economic and scientific cooperation between Israel and Hong Kong. The two sides will continue to explore specific ways and projects for cooperation, promote greater achievements in cooperation in the aerospace field, and work together to make the Asian and even global commercial aerospace market bigger and stronger.
