On 11 January 2024, Mr Sun Fengquan, Chairman & CEO of USPACE/ASPACE, led a delegation to meet with the representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Investment, and Saudi Space Agency. The joint parties conducted friendly exchanges on landing ASPACE’s satellite manufacturing factory and the strategy and plan on developing the large-scale space industry cluster in Saudi.
The representatives from the three key Ministries warmly welcomed the visit of Mr. Sun Fengquan and his delegation and expressed that ASPACE’s strategy highly conforms to Saudi Arabia’s 2023 Vision. The representatives emphasised that they will continue their respective efforts to support the implementation of ASPACE’s space industry plan and strategy in Saudi.
As a concrete and immediate measure, the representatives from the three governmental organisations will work with USPACE/ASPACE team to establish a joint Working Group (WG) to facilitate the implementation of the projects at an even higher level.
