On 29 May 2024, Mr. Sun Fengquan, chairman of Uspace Technology Group Limited (USPACE), and Mr. Guo Man, president of China Unicom Air Net Co., Ltd. (China Unicom Air Net), jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Hong Kong. The agreement aims to integrate their respective core strengths and expand satellite communication business with a global vision. The two parties aim to achieve mutual growth, maximize benefits, and promote products and services by China Unicom Air Net on a global scale strategically.
China Unicom Air Net is a subsidiary of China United Network Communications Group (China Unicom) dedicated to satellite communication products and data services. Positioned in the midstream of the commercial space industry chain, the company's core businesses include in-flight internet services, integrated satellite network communication services, and cross-border secure data transmission access services and so on. Its mission is to build a safe, reliable, smooth, and compliant integrated earth-ground satellite network and communication link, and provide integrated earth-ground Internet access and value-added services. China Unicom Air Net is actively establishing a global satellite communication network to provide internet access services to global civil aviation and ocean-going vessels, combining with ground mobile communication networks to achieve seamless communication access between the sky and the ground.
USPACE is the first commercial aerospace company in Hong Kong, focusing on satellite manufacturing, space environment testing, satellite operation and control, satellite data applications, and precision electronic manufacturing. Its headquarters are located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Hong Kong, China. USPACE is currently collaborating with the partners to establish an international platform company for the space industry cluster in Abu Dhabi, covering an area of 3 million square meters.
